The SOURCE is open Monday through Thursday 8am-9pm, Friday 8am-6pm, Saturday 12pm-6pm and Sunday 12pm-4pm. During the summer and winter and spring breaks, the SOURCE is open 8am-6pm Monday through Friday and closed on weekends

Services

All registered and active organizations may use the resources and supplies in the SOURCE. Some supplies are available on a limited basis to help ensure availability of these items for all organizations. A/V equipment is available for check out by any registered student leader.  Please click here to access the SOURCE Equipment Check Out Policy.

SOURCE Resources are intended to be used only for meetings, programs, events, and activities directly related to the student organization.  Resources are not intended for personal use.

Each Active student organization receives 1,500 points per quarter to be used.  Points do not roll-over from one quarter to the next.  Any unused points will be lost at the end of each quarter.

SOURCE point values and all current resources are described, and can be downloaded and printed, from the document at the top of the page.

Student Organization Graphics Department

The student organization Graphics Department provides services to student organizations that include the design of materials to be printed such as t-shirts, flyers, banners, posters, letterhead etc.; logo and icon design; consultations for projects; and pricing for printing. For more information about their services, click here or contact the office by email at kaczkowski.1@osu.edu.

Mailboxes

All registered student organizations may request a mailbox in the SOURCE, 113A Ohio Union at Ohio Stadium. Application forms can be picked up in the SOURCE. Submit completed forms to the SOURCE.  Applications for mailboxes will be accepted throughout the year.  Mailbox space must be requested each year.

Office Space & Storage Lockers

Student organizations have office spaces at the Ohio Union for their operations and to use as a homebase on campus. Applications for office space are not currently being accepted for office space in the Ohio Union at Ohio Stadium.

All registered student organizations will have the opportunity to apply for office space in the new Ohio Union. Applications will be made available on May 1, 2009. Student organizations will also have the opportunity to apply for a storage locker in the new Ohio Union, set to open in 2010.

Please visit the Student Organization Scheduling page for more information on meeting or event space for your organization.  Please contact the SOURCE staff at source@osu.edu with any questions you have.

Websites

Registered and Active student organizations may request website space to be hosted through Ohio State University. To request web space, Presidents should login through the “Organization Registration & Management” section of the SOURCE website and click on the “Website” link of the left-hand side to complete the request form. Questions about administrative management should be directed to source@osu.edu.  Questions about FTP and other technical issues should be directed to 688-HELP or http://8help.osu.edu.

If you would like help or consultation on student organization website design, please contact Ohio Union Graphic Designer Nate Smith.1750@osu.edu.

Coca-Cola Leadership Retreat Packages

The SOURCE is proud to offer Coca-Cola Leadership Retreat Packages to registered student organizations holding a leadership retreat during the academic year (autumn-spring). Retreat packages may include: Coca-Cola beverages, funding for food, retreat supplies, and experiential teambuilding experiences at one of our preferred locations.

The application for winter quarter 2009 is now available!  Applications are due by Friday, January 9 for retreats occurring between January 23-April 16.  Due to the demand for this program, no late applications will be considered.

These are a few points which are considered in approving Leadership Retreat Package applications, this is not an exhaustive list.

  • A retreat is an experience for your organization with a leadership focus meant to cultivate and retain members. Topics for retreats can include but are not limited to officer transition, teambuilding, diversity enhancement, goal setting, expectations, or other related topics. We believe that student leaders can be more effective in their positions and personal lives by developing leadership skills and creating unity within their organization and the greater campus community.
  • Leadership Retreat Packages are not meant to provide snacks and meals for organization gatherings or meetings.
  • Organization travel for the purpose of an outside conference is not considered a retreat.
  • Only organizations that are registered and active with the SOURCE are eligible for these retreat packages.

If you have specific questions please contact Kristine Koehler or call 614-292-8763.
