Student Organization Website Information

Registered Student Organization can sign up for free web hosting through the OCIO at the Ohio State University.  To do so do the following:

  • First Fill out the information at the bottom of the General Information tab in the Student Organization Management System located at http://ohiounion.osu.edu/secure/studentorgs/ .  After you fill in the information you will get two emails.  One will state that an IT consultant is setting up your site and a second email when they have completed the work.  The second email will contain login information.
  • Second, you will need to create a website.  This can be done through Microsoft Publisher, Apple iWeb, or other various products on the internet.  If you need to please contact smith.1750@osu.edu and you can arrange a meeting with a web specialist to help you find a solution.
  • Third, you will need to download an SFTP client to upload your files to the server.  The attached document contains instructions how to use a free software you can use to move your files from your computer to the webserver.  Student Org Web Server Help
