"Phitrotters" is Alpha Epsilon Phi's annual event that raises money to help further the research and support provided by Sharsheret, a non-profit organization which supports young women and their families facing breast cancer. "Phitrotters" is an all day basketball tournament. All Ohio State students, faculty, and alumni are given the opportunity to create a basketball team, and compete against other students, faculty, and alumni in order to raise awareness and money for breast cancer research. Teams compete in either a men's bracket, a women's bracket, or a co-ed bracket. Each team who participates is coached by members of Alpha Epsilon Phi. Throughout the day, participants are given the opportunity to speak with survivors, learn more about breast cancer, and breast cancer prevention and research.
